Thank you for your mail-shot survey today. As a postie, and on behalf of my colleagues, thanks for breaking our backs. One letter to a household would do the job. I’m concerned about the environment; thanks for wasting so much paper (as the Council does every year with the Council Tax demands – why do we have a glossy brochure when a piece of paper did the job when we were ‘only’ a town? And why a ‘demand’ not a ‘request’?) . The large letter charge must be a massive drain on the City’s (ha!) resources.
My husband and I are lifelong Conservative voters. If you continue with the wasteage of funds such as this mail-shot; you will lose our support.
If you can stop the rent statements (nobody needs it), tenant newsletters (nobody reads it) and all the other ‘feel-good’ stuff the Council chuffs out – your vote is assured.
Trust me, if you make the savings in our area and make the savings known in your manifesto; the vote will swing your way.

I am glad to hear from politicians. The Labour party used to take my vote in Wolverhampton S.W. for granted (voted Labour for 40 years) until 2005 when I voted for Sandip Verma. Labour only comes round at election time and then it is semi-articulate socialists who knock on my door.
You have my vote and please keep the leaflets etc coming – although many of us would be happy with an email version instead!
